How much is this plan going to cost?
Where is the money for this project coming from? Are you going to raise my water rates?
If you have the money for this project, why not pay off the CLCWA debts and lower my water rate?
How many tax dollars have been spent so far on this plan? Exactly how much was paid to SWA architects? What were the costs for the Civil Engineer, the hydrologist, and the various studies?
If I have to sell my house before this is beautified, will you compensate me for my property value loss?
After you dig this all out, what guarantees do I have that you will replant the trees?
Where is the dirt going? How will the Water authority get rid of the clay?
Who will maintain the ditch?
I understand that you must get a permit from theTexas Commission on Environmental Quality(TCEQ) before you can start digging. When will you do that?
Is there a tree survey plan on paper to show which trees will be saved?
What will happen to the birds when all the trees are gone?
What will prevent alligators from coming into my yard from this ditch?
In some of your pictures, you show water and/or wetlands right behind my house. How will you prevent poisonous snakes like water moccasins from coming into my yard?
I'm a native Texan and I know that standing water or wetlands breeds mosquitos. Dragonflies don't eat enough of them. How will you protect us from mosquito infestation?
Is it true that you are going to be putting treated sewage water in the ditch behind my house? How will I know it is safe?
When all this water from storm surges or heavy rains is sent our way, what is to prevent our homes from flooding?
There was talk of lighted paths for bicyclists. Will there be bright lights glaring in our windows all night long?
Each section will be under construction for two plus years. What is the plan for privacy, security, and noise pollution with construction workers and loud heavy equipment right behind our homes all day long?
